Introduction

Nepal APF School operates in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, with the motto of “Education for Human Excellence.” As a part of the organization’s plan to expand the school to the regional level, Nepal APF School Jhalari has been established in Suklaphanta municipality, Kanchanpur district.

Nepal APF School Jhalari was founded on the 22th of Poush, 2080 BS as a residential school operated by the Armed Police Force Nepal Welfare Fund. The school’s aim is to provide quality education in a non-profit and accessible manner, occupying more than 40 Bigha of land and surrounded by greenery.

The school provides accessible quality education for children of both armed police personnel and ordinary citizens. 60 percent of the school’s quota is reserved for the children of armed police personnel, and 40 percent is for children of the civilians. The school also offers a home-like environment for students and staff.

The monthly fee for children of armed police personnel is charged at 25 percent of their basic salary scale, while children of civilians have easy access to education. The school also provides scholarships for meritorious students and offers discounts on monthly fees to students who excel in each class. It has state-of-the-art facilities, including spacious classrooms, well-equipped science and computer labs, a well-stocked library, and a playground for outdoor sports. The school also has a dining hall that serves healthy and nutritious meals to the students.

Apart from academic and sports facilities, the school has a well-equipped medical room with qualified medical staff available to provide immediate first aid to students in case of any medical emergency. Admission Process

The School takes new enrollment every year in Grade IV.  Admission opens every year in Falgun for Grade IV. The candidates have to successfully undergo the Written Test of major subjects (Math, Science, English and Nepali), Interview and Medical Examination before admission. The school enrolls 60% of the students from the families of APF personnel (both in-service and former) and 40% from the civilian families in admitting students in Grade IV. Other classes admission notice is published in case of availabilities of quotas.
